February 2007
Dear Family and Friends,
February is known as the month of love, it is a time when we think of our love for others and especially of our love for the Lord II Corinthians 5:14 says, “For the love of Christ constraineth us”. It was because He loved us first that we even have the opportunity to love Him. “We love Him, because He first loved us. “ Isn’t the Lord good? He loves us so much and knows exactly what we need in every aspect of our lives. He encourages us when we are down, He provides when there is a need, and He gives us our desires.
We have so much to praise God and be thankful for. Praise God that He has added two new churches to financially and prayerfully support us! This brings our support to approximately 4%. We are humbled by His provision and we are looking forward to see Him continually add to that number. We are also grateful for the meetings that He has provided. Every meeting is vital and we are thankful for every opportunity He gives us to share our burden. Also, we want to give God the glory that our son, Luke, is going to be able to have his surgery a month early. He is five months old and already weighs 17 lbs. The doctors say that he is big enough now to go ahead and operate. Last, but definitely not least, we praise him for being in control. Just as I Thessalonians 5:24 says, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” It is so comforting to be the children of God, and know that your only job comes in the trusting and obeying. We do not have to figure out a thing we simply must obey. Praise God!
We have a few prayer requests we ask you to partner with us and ask the Father for:
- First of all for Luke’s surgery on March 6th. Pray that the surgery will go well, and that there would be no complications.
- Secondly for more meetings, we would like to be able to have a full schedule as we step out full time this July.
- Thirdly we ask you to pray for the political situation Venezuela.
- Lastly, we ask you to pray that God will even now start preparing Venezuelans so that their hearts are tender to the gospel. That they would be hungry for truth, and that they would desire to give their lives totally over to their Master. The need is so big! With well over 25 million people and only 25 Baptist churches, the need is overwhelming.
We want to thank all the churches that have had us present our ministry and for allowing us to share our burden for Venezuela. We have been so graciously received and do not for a minute forget the sacrifice it takes. Thank you so much!
Bound for Venezuela,
Jason, Sarah, Samuel and Luke
