The reality of God being a loving Father was one that I had never realized until recent years, and now that it has become so real to me, I want the whole world to know about it. I accepted Christ at a very young age, but never realized the full potential of that relationship until a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately, I had a view of God that so many Christians now have. I knew that Jesus died just for me and that God loved me, but in my heart I never felt good enough. I knew all the right theology, but I didn’t know it personally and believe me there is a big difference. I went to Christian school all my life and even Christian Bible College, and along the way I had small glimpses of that relationship, but often lived in spiritual defeat.
I believe that God gives us pictures here on earth so that we might have a small glimpse of the potential for a relationship that we can have with Him. My two boys have become that picture for me. When I began to realize how much I loved them with an earthly love, I realized how much more my heavenly Father loves me and wants that same relationship with me. His desire is intimate fellowship with me and if I am surrendered to Him, He will use circumstances in my life to draw me closer to Him.
I truly believe that God spoils His children and I am so glad that I have the privilege to call Him Daddy.
