Dear Family and Friends,
Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” We praise the Lord for his continual work in our hearts and lives. Our full time deputation is just beginning and we have found the Lord to be sweeter than ever. We thank the Lord for that peace that does pass all human understanding. When you know that you are doing exactly what He wants for you to do, the feeling is indescribable. Praise the Lord!
We also want to praise the Lord that we have had a few more supporters pick us up and our support level is now around 15%. It is exciting to see how the Lord is providing, He is so faithful.
In this past month we traveled to Utah, where Jason preached at a Baptist camp called Camp UTIBACA. The first week was filled with junior age kids. Praise the Lord there were about 6 kids that came to know the Lord! The second week was junior high age kids, and there were about 8 decisions that week. It was exciting to hear testimonies shared of some of the kids who thought they were too cool to be at camp, be the very kids that surrender their hearts to the Lord. We really appreciate the invitation and thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there. We also had the opportunity to share our ministry while we were in Utah with two churches. We were encouraged to see the Lord’s work in Utah, a Mormon filled state. We truly saw the need there and saw what a great mission field it was.
We would like to ask you to join with us and pray for the following:
- Please continue to keep Venezuela in your prayers.
- Please pray for laborers. The Lord has not stopped calling.
- Please pray for the missionaries in Venezuela now. Please pray that they will have wisdom and safety.
- Please pray that the Lord would fill our calendar with meetings.
- Last but not least, please pray for traveling safety. This passed month we put just under 4000 miles on the car and we thank the Lord for keeping us safe.
The boys are growing fast and are so much fun. Sam has impressed us lately with his coordination on a scooter! He picked it up really fast and loves to ride it. Luke is totally mobile now which means that you cannot take your eyes off of him. We thank the Lord for two beautiful healthy boys, and pray that they come to know the Lord at an early age.
Thank you to all of you who keep us in your prayers, who support us financially, to you who have shown us incredible hospitality, and to those who have encouraged us to trust the Lord.
Because He Lives,
Jason, Sarah, Samuel, and Luke Sykes
