September 2007
Dear Family and Friends,
1 Chronicles 16:34 says, “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.” August has come quickly and gone quickly and like last prayer letter, we once again are amazed at how great our God is. He keeps supplying our calendar with meetings, and has also supplied our every need. We want to start this letter with thanks to Him. We did not have a full calendar for August, but God is good and keeps our wheels going. September has already filled up and October is nearly there, and God continues to bless with more and more meetings. We have made trips into Alabama and throughout Tennessee. Praise the Lord our trips have been fairly close to home, so we can travel home the same night.
The boys are growing so quickly. It seems like just the other day that Luke was born and we will be celebrating his first birthday in just a few days (September 27). Luke has just taken his first step, though it will be a while before he is walking all the time. Sam is quite active and loves riding his bike and riding the scooter. They are funny as we travel and we look back in the back seats and see them making funny faces at each other to make each another laugh. One of the cutest things so far was to look back and see them holding hands across the aisle. We thank the Lord for our boys and pray that they come to know him at an early age. We pray that they learn to love Him with all their heart, soul, and mind.
Prayer Request:
- As for prayer request we want to beg you to earnestly pray for Venezuela. Things are constantly changing and news changes daily. In the past two weeks I have spoken with missionaries in Venezuela now, and asked them how they are doing. Things are going fine and the ministry continues to go on. Please pray that the Lord will provide wisdom for each and every one of these missionaries. Please pray the doors to Venezuela will remain open that the gospel may be able to penetrate Venezuela. Please pray for the Christians in Venezuela to realize this is their gospel and that they need to take it and spread it. Our heart is that we will be a part of sharing the gospel with them, and we pray for the doors to remain open so that we can have the privilege of sharing Jesus with those who have never heard.

- We also would continue to ask you to pray for our schedule to continue to fill up, and safety as we travel.
We appreciate you partnering with us in these prayer requests. We are amazed at the amount of people who come up to us and vow to pray for us, many who pray every day or on a specific day of the week. Thank you so much!
Gratefully serving our Lord and King,
The Sykes Family
